ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden · 26–30 December 2026
Course dates, tuition, payment deadlines and edition-specific conditions stated in the written admission offer form part of these Terms & Conditions.
1. Organiser and scope
The ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden is organised by Klymyuk, ART of, Pfingstweidstrasse 31, 8005 Zurich, Switzerland, CHE-396.840.801 (“ART of”, “we”, “us”).
These Terms & Conditions apply to applications, admission and participation in the ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden, including optional services booked through ART of.
Edition-specific information contained in the written admission offer, including dates, tuition, attendance conditions, payment deadlines and expressly confirmed additional services, forms part of the agreement.
2. Programme and educational character
The ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden is an intensive educational dance programme.
The 2026 edition takes place from 26 to 30 December 2026 in Dresden, Germany.
The programme may include classical ballet training, pointe and technique work, classical variations, repertoire, William Forsythe Improvisation Technologies and related movement work, choreographic and creative development, musicality, body awareness, dance/sport science, individual technical and artistic coaching and other artistic or professional-development activities.
The exact programme, daily schedule, faculty, repertoire, studios, class order and group allocation may vary according to the relevant edition.

Venue arrangements remain subject to the organisational requirements applicable to the respective edition.
3. Eligibility and minimum age
The standard programme is open to dancers aged 14+, subject to technical level, training background and available places.
Admission to a particular group or programme pathway is determined by ART of according to age, current technical and artistic level, training experience, professional experience and the artistic requirements of the programme.
Professional Dancer and Observation applicants may be asked to provide evidence of their professional background or relevant experience.
4. Application
Applications must be complete, accurate and submitted through the designated application process.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that photographs, videos, documents and other artistic material submitted to ART of may lawfully be provided and do not infringe third-party rights.
ART of may request additional information or updated artistic material where reasonably necessary to assess an application.
Submission of an application does not create a right to admission.
5. Application fee
The application fee is EUR 40, plus any separately disclosed third-party payment, bank or transaction charge.
The application fee is separate from course tuition and becomes due as part of the application process.
The application fee is non-refundable once the application has been received and assessment has begun, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Payment of the application fee does not guarantee admission, a scholarship, a particular group placement or participation in any additional artistic or professional opportunity.
6. Assessment and admission
ART of assesses applications individually according to age, current technical and artistic level, training background, programme suitability, professional experience where applicable, group balance and available capacity.
Admission is confirmed only in writing by ART of.
Any informal indication or discussion before written admission is provisional.
7. Course fee, payment and confirmation of place
The applicable tuition and payment deadline are stated in the written admission offer.
Unless otherwise stated in the admission offer, tuition must be received within 14 days of admission.
A participant’s place becomes binding once the required course tuition has been received by the stated deadline.
If payment is not received on time, ART of may release the place after reasonable notice.
Bank, card, PayPal, currency-conversion, exchange-rate or intermediary charges are the participant’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where ART of exceptionally agrees to payment by instalments, the instalment arrangement does not alter the cancellation conditions in Section 13 unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
8. Attendance and programme pathway
The ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden is organised as an intensive programme over the published course dates.
Where ART of offers alternative participation arrangements, individual days, Observation or another participation format, the applicable attendance period must be expressly confirmed in the written admission offer.
Participant status and attendance arrangement are separate matters.
Professional Dancer status does not automatically create entitlement to a different attendance period or tuition rate.
Admission to particular classes, repertoire, workshops, coaching sessions or other programme elements remains dependent on technical level, group placement, capacity, selection where applicable and the programme structure of the relevant edition.
9. Professional Dancer participation
Professional Dancer participation is intended for dancers who currently hold a professional dance-company contract, or who previously worked under a professional company contract for a substantial period, unless the written offer states otherwise.
ART of may request appropriate evidence of professional status.
Any Professional Dancer rate or special participation condition exists only when expressly confirmed in writing by ART of.
If the eligibility requirements for a particular Professional Dancer rate are not met, ART of may offer participation at the applicable standard tuition without affecting the applicant’s possibility of admission.
10. Observation
Observation may be offered to dance teachers, pedagogues, rehearsal directors, professional dancers developing their teaching practice and relevant professionals from dance, movement and sport.
Availability, access, price and permitted sessions are edition-specific and are valid only when confirmed by ART of.
Observation is intended for professional development and does not grant the right to teach or intervene in classes, reproduce teaching material, record classes, distribute exercises or choreography or access confidential participant information.
Observers must follow all safeguarding, privacy, venue and faculty instructions.
11. Artistic, professional and audition opportunities
ART of may provide selected participants with additional artistic, professional, audition, coaching, networking or educational opportunities.
Any such opportunity is subject to confirmation for the relevant edition and may depend on artistic level, suitability, capacity, faculty requirements, partner requirements and availability.
Admission to the ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden does not guarantee an audition, school admission, company invitation, employment, contract, scholarship or other professional outcome unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Where representatives of dance schools, companies, institutions or other professional organisations attend, observe or collaborate with the intensive, their presence does not create an automatic right to assessment, admission or engagement.
12. Faculty, repertoire, schedule and programme changes
Teachers, coaches, choreographers, pianists, repertoire, studios, group allocation, class times and the order or content of activities may change for artistic, operational, health, safety, contractual or availability reasons.
ART of will use reasonable efforts to maintain the essential educational character and quality of the programme.
A change of an individual faculty member, studio, repertoire, timetable, group allocation, class order or separately announced collaboration does not by itself constitute cancellation of the intensive.
13. Participant withdrawal and cancellation
Withdrawal must be communicated to ART of in writing.
ART of plans and contracts faculty, studios, artistic services and other programme resources according to confirmed participant numbers. A confirmed place therefore creates organisational and financial commitments for ART of, and cancellation charges apply once a place has been confirmed.
Unless a more favourable arrangement is expressly stated in the written admission offer, and always subject to mandatory law, the following cancellation conditions apply:
Cancellation at least three months before the first course day:
The cancellation charge is 50% of the agreed course tuition. Where tuition has already been paid in full, 50% is refunded.
Cancellation less than three months but at least one month before the first course day:
The cancellation charge is 70% of the agreed course tuition. Where tuition has already been paid in full, 30% is refunded.
Cancellation less than one month before the first course day:
The cancellation charge is 100% of the agreed course tuition and no course tuition is refunded.
Amounts already paid are credited against the applicable cancellation charge.
Where payment by instalments has been agreed, cancellation does not automatically cancel any remaining amount forming part of the applicable cancellation charge, subject always to mandatory law.
The application fee is governed separately by Section 5 and is not included in these percentages.
Bank, card, currency-conversion or payment-provider charges that ART of cannot recover may be deducted from a refund where legally permitted.
ART of may, entirely at its discretion and without creating an obligation or precedent for future cases, offer a transfer, credit or other goodwill arrangement in exceptional circumstances.
14. Illness, injury and missed participation
Participants are responsible for arriving medically fit to train.
Illness, injury, travel disruption, cancelled transport, visa or entry problems, late arrival, early departure, timetable conflicts or voluntary absence do not normally entitle the participant to a refund, credit or replacement classes.
Where a participant is unable to attend for medical reasons, ART of may consider the circumstances individually upon receipt of appropriate medical documentation, but no refund, transfer or credit is guaranteed beyond mandatory legal rights.
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel and cancellation insurance.
15. Cancellation or material change by ART of
If ART of cancels the entire intensive and does not provide a reasonable replacement or rescheduled option, tuition paid for the cancelled programme will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
If only part of the programme cannot be delivered, ART of may provide a reasonable replacement, alternative class, faculty substitution, timetable change, venue substitution, collaboration substitution or other adjustment.
ART of is not responsible for independently booked flights, rail travel, accommodation, visas, insurance or other third-party expenses unless such liability cannot legally be excluded.
16. Events beyond reasonable control
Where circumstances outside ART of’s reasonable control materially prevent or restrict performance, ART of may adapt, postpone, relocate, shorten or cancel affected programme elements.
Such circumstances may include government restrictions, venue closure, serious public-health events, natural disaster, major infrastructure failure, strikes or substantial transport disruption, security emergencies or other comparable circumstances beyond reasonable control.
ART of will act reasonably and communicate material changes.
Any refund, credit or alternative solution will take account of services already delivered, unavoidable commitments and applicable mandatory law.
This section does not remove statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.
17. Health and physical demands
Intensive dance training involves physical demands and an inherent risk of injury.
Participants must provide information about relevant injuries, health limitations or other circumstances where reasonably necessary for safe participation.
Participants must follow faculty, venue and safety instructions.
ART of may limit, modify or stop participation where reasonably necessary to protect the health or safety of the participant or others.
18. Insurance
Participants are responsible for maintaining adequate health, accident, travel and personal-liability insurance valid in Germany for the complete travel and participation period.
Insurance should cover intensive dance training and, where appropriate, cancellation or interruption of participation.
ART of does not provide individual participant insurance unless expressly confirmed in writing.
19. Conduct, safeguarding and exclusion
Participants must behave respectfully, comply with safeguarding requirements, follow venue rules and reasonable instructions from faculty and staff and avoid conduct that endangers, harasses or materially disrupts other participants, faculty or staff.
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in removal from a class or exclusion from the programme.
Where exclusion results from serious misconduct by the participant, tuition is normally not refunded, subject to mandatory law.
20. Participants under 18
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide all required declarations, authorisations and accurate emergency information.
Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for travel to and from Dresden, accommodation, local transport, meals and supervision outside published programme hours unless ART of has expressly accepted another responsibility in writing.
ART of does not provide residential supervision or general custody outside supervised programme activities.
A separate ART of authorisation for participants under 18 may be required before participation. Where published as a website resource, the current Dresden authorisation form forms part of the required participant documentation.
21. Travel, visas, accommodation and meals
Unless expressly included in the written admission offer, travel, accommodation, visas or entry documents, local transport, meals, drinks and personal expenses are not included in tuition.
Participants are responsible for making and paying for these arrangements independently.
Admission to ART of does not guarantee a visa, entry permission or any decision by a public authority.
ART of is not a party to contracts concluded by participants with hotels, hostels, residences, apartment providers, airlines, rail operators or other third-party providers.
Accommodation providers or recommendations listed on the ART of website are provided for information only unless expressly stated otherwise.
Participants are encouraged to use flexible or appropriately insured travel and accommodation bookings where possible.
22. Recording by participants and observers
Photography, audio recording, video recording, live streaming or other recording during classes, rehearsals, coaching or other non-public programme activities is prohibited unless ART of has given prior permission and, where necessary, permission has also been obtained from the teacher, choreographer and affected participants.
Repertoire, choreography, teaching material, exercises, music and coaching content may be protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
Participation does not grant permission to reproduce, publish, teach, commercially exploit or distribute such material.
23. Application photographs and artistic material
Portrait photographs, dance photographs, audition videos, links, CVs and other material submitted as part of an application are used for admission assessment, group or level placement, scholarship assessment where applicable, programme administration and related communication.
Submission of application material does not automatically transfer ownership of that material to ART of.
Any public or promotional use of material submitted before the course, where that material was not created by or for ART of during programme activities, remains subject to the applicable rights and permissions.
24. ART of photography, filming and media rights
ART of and persons authorised by ART of may photograph, film, audio-record or otherwise document activities taking place in connection with the ART of Ballet Winter Intensive Dresden.
This may include classes, rehearsals, coaching sessions, workshops, presentations, organised photography or filming sessions, arrival and registration activities and other programme-related activities.
By submitting an application and accepting these Terms & Conditions, the participant and, for a participant under 18, the parent or legal guardian grant ART of the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to photograph, film and record the participant during ART of activities and to use the resulting identifiable photographs, video recordings, audio recordings and excerpts for ART of communication, documentation, advertising, marketing, public relations and commercial promotion.
Permitted uses may include:
ART of websites and programme websites;
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other social-media platforms;
organic social-media communication;
paid social-media and digital advertising;
brochures, flyers, posters, banners and printed programme material;
newsletters;
press and public-relations communication;
presentations;
promotional films and trailers;
advertising campaigns;
promotion of current and future ART of programmes, courses, projects and editions;
communication with ART of venues, partners and collaborators where connected with ART of communication or promotion.
Subject to applicable law, ART of may crop, resize or technically adapt photographs, edit video or audio, create excerpts and compilations and combine material with text, design, graphics, ART of branding, logos or music for the permitted purposes.
The permission is not limited to the Dresden 2026 edition and may be used in connection with future ART of programmes and communication.
No additional remuneration is payable to the participant for uses covered by these Terms & Conditions unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
For participants under 18, acceptance of these Terms & Conditions is provided by the parent or legal guardian.
There is no separate optional Yes/No Promotional Media Consent as part of the Dresden application. Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions forms the basis of the programme media rights described in this section, subject always to rights and limitations that cannot legally be waived.
25. Optional photography or media services
ART of may offer optional professional photography, video or other participant media services during the intensive.
Availability, price, scope, scheduling, number and format of photographs, video format and delivery information are edition-specific and are those published for the relevant edition or expressly confirmed in writing.
Booking an optional photography or media service is a separate commercial service and is not a consent mechanism for ART of’s organiser photography and filming under Section 24.
Unless otherwise stated, delivered photographs or video may be used by the participant for personal portfolio, audition and non-commercial self-promotional purposes.
Third-party music, choreography, venue and performer rights may restrict commercial publication or further use.
26. Scholarships and tuition reductions
Scholarships and tuition reductions are edition-specific and limited.
A scholarship is valid only when confirmed by ART of in writing.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, scholarships apply only to the specified portion of course tuition and do not cover the EUR 40 application fee, travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, optional media services or other personal expenses.
Submitting a scholarship application does not guarantee either admission or a scholarship.
27. Membership and tuition benefits
ART of Membership may be available in connection with applications from:
Student / Advanced or Pre-Professional Dancer;
Professional Dancer;
Observation applicants.
Submission or verification of a Membership does not guarantee admission or a particular tuition benefit.
Any Membership benefit remains subject to validity, eligibility and the conditions applicable to the relevant programme.
If a Membership is valid and an applicable benefit is confirmed, the benefit may be reflected in the participant’s invoice.
If a Membership is invalid, expired, unavailable, already used, not applicable or otherwise not accepted for the requested benefit, the application remains valid and ART of may issue the regular applicable invoice.
The Membership code and its verification status may remain recorded in the application even where no Membership benefit is applied.
An application must not be prevented from proceeding to a regular invoice solely because a Membership benefit cannot be granted.
Applicants without Membership are invoiced according to the regular applicable tuition and participation conditions.
28. Intellectual property
Course materials, choreography, repertoire, exercises, texts, photographs, video, branding, graphics and other protected material remain subject to the intellectual-property rights of ART of and/or the respective creators and rights holders.
Participation does not transfer intellectual-property rights to participants.
Material made available for personal study may not automatically be publicly performed, reproduced for teaching, uploaded online, commercially exploited, distributed, sold or licensed without the appropriate permission.
29. Personal data and privacy
Personal data is processed for purposes including application assessment, admission, programme administration, participant communication, health and safety where necessary, payments and accounting, security and legal obligations.
Processing is carried out in accordance with the current ART of Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection law.
Where processing requires a separate legal basis or consent under mandatory law, ART of will apply the corresponding requirements.
30. Third-party services and payment providers
ART of may use external providers for website hosting, email, file storage, payment processing, website security, photography, videography and other technical or organisational services.
Third-party providers may impose their own terms, privacy conditions, authentication requirements and fees.
A payment-provider confirmation does not replace ART of’s written admission or course confirmation.
31. Personal property
Participants remain responsible for their personal property.
Valuable items should not be left unattended in studios, changing rooms or common areas.
ART of is responsible for loss or damage only to the extent required by applicable law.
32. Liability
ART of is liable in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
To the extent legally permitted, ART of is not responsible for losses resulting from a participant’s own conduct, undisclosed medical conditions or limitations, independent travel or accommodation arrangements, third-party services, theft or loss of personal property without fault by ART of or events outside ART of’s reasonable control.
33. Complaints, corrections and urgent matters
Errors in applications, payment questions, complaints or organisational questions should be communicated promptly to:

so that ART of has a reasonable opportunity to investigate and respond.
For urgent matters during the course, confirmed participants should use the telephone or emergency contact details supplied in the official participant information.
Urgent health or safeguarding concerns should be raised immediately with the responsible ART of staff.
34. Mandatory consumer rights
These Terms do not exclude or restrict mandatory consumer rights.
Any statutory rights concerning withdrawal, cancellation, refunds, information, data protection, jurisdiction or other consumer protections that cannot legally be waived take precedence over conflicting contractual wording.
35. Applicable law and jurisdiction
To the extent legally permitted, the agreement is governed by Swiss law.
Mandatory consumer-protection rules and mandatory jurisdiction provisions applicable to an individual participant remain unaffected.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of protections that cannot legally be waived by contractual choice of law or jurisdiction.
36. Final provisions
If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
The written admission offer, these Terms & Conditions and any expressly incorporated edition-specific information together form the agreement governing participation.
Material contractual changes made after booking will not be applied retroactively to the participant’s disadvantage where prohibited by law.
