THE DRESDEN WINTER IDENTITY

Classical precision.

Choreographic intelligence.

The Forsythe perspective.

The Dresden Ballet Winter Intensive is conceived as more than a sequence of daily classes. It creates a concentrated working environment in which dancers can refine technique, deepen artistic understanding and develop greater individuality in their movement.

Classical ballet provides the technical foundation, while repertoire and variation work connect precision with musicality, interpretation and performance. A particular focus may be placed on William Forsythe repertoire and related choreographic principles, developing spatial awareness, articulation, dynamic clarity and independent artistic decision-making. Improvisational approaches may also form part of the process where they support the artistic work.

Individual coaching and detailed feedback allow dancers to address specific technical and artistic questions. The compact five-day format encourages continuity, intensity and meaningful development within a focused professional atmosphere.

A DEFINING ART OF CONNECTION

William Forsythe is part

of the working language

not a decorative name.

Stacks Image 11630
The ART of - Ballet Intensives are given with the kind support of William Forsythe.

In Dresden, Forsythe’s Improvisation Technologies and choreographic principles connect classical structure with spatial awareness, musicality, articulation and choice.

The purpose is not to replace classical technique. It is to deepen how a dancer understands it, organises it and can use it intelligently in today’s choreographic world.

This connection belongs to ART of’s artistic history and practice; it is not presented as a one-off celebrity masterclass
